WRHS Foundation Mother's Day Tribute

Pink CarnationThis Mother’s Day, honor your mother, grandmother, or other influential woman in your life with a gift that will improve the delivery of healthcare in North Central Arkansas. There are many ways to express your love and appreciation. This year, give a gift that will last a lifetime by making a donation to the White River Health System Foundation (WRHSF). The names of those being honored or remembered will be publicly acknowledged through special thank you advertising in our local newspapers and on social media. Names will also be listed on the White River Health System website and displayed in the lobbies at White River Medical Center (WRMC).
The proceeds from the Mother's Day Tribute benefit WRMC's efforts as a Cribs for Kids, Safe Sleep Hospital.  Funded by an  initial gift from the Taylor McKeen Shelton Foundation,  WRMC purchased Halo® SleepSack® wearable blankets for every baby born at WRMC and Pack-N-Play® portable cribs to be given to families who do not have a safe sleeping area for their infant. Research shows that providing a safe sleeping environment for children less than one year old dramatically decreases the chance of death in infants due to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).

About the Taylor McKeen Shelton Foundation

The Taylor McKeen Shelton Foundation was established in loving memory of Taylor with a goal of increasing awareness of, and research into the cause of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) incidents. In addition to supporting the SUDC Program, goals of the Taylor McKeen Shelton Foundation include supporting families who are living through similar tragedies and helping to provide healthy, physical activities for children.

SUDC is the sudden and unexpected death of a child over the age of twelve months, which remains unexplained after a thorough case investigation. Taylor McKeen Shelton Foundation
